Sweet were without doubt the greatest exponents of glam rock hysteria in the 1970s. With their glitter, glamour and perfect pop, they made music for a whole generation, a generation that stood for good times and good music – a generation that above all stood for FUN!

Sweet produced hit after hit and were constantly in the charts, with perhaps their biggest hit Blockbuster becoming the biggest selling single of 1973. Ballroom Blitz, Turn It Down, Teenage Rampage and The Sixteens took the public by storm and established Sweet as a household name in the entire Western World.

In all, Sweet sold the best part of 50 million records in the 1970s, with their songwriting covering a huge range of musical styles, from 60s Britpop to 70s glam, heavier rock and even disco. Sweet Sessions are a tribute band, covering a huge range of Sweet’s vast repertoire.
